Marinated Lamb Shanks with Creamy Kohkoz Hummus - Kohkoz – Real Lebanese Cuisine

A flavorful mediterranean delight, slow roasted spiced lamb, accompanied by fresh salad, tasty hummus and wedges of cheesy garlic bread.

Ingredients

Lamb Shanks or Lamb shoulder/leg
Kohkoz pita breads
Kohkoz Toum
Kohkoz Za'atar
Kohkoz Hummus of your choice
Large tsp of Cumin
Large tsp of Paprika
1/2 tsp of Salt
Black Pepper
1 Tbsp of Olive Oil
Salad Leaves
Cucumber
Tomato
Pitted Olives

Method

Marinate lamb shanks (or lamb shoulder/leg) cumin, paprika, 1/2 teaspoon salt, black pepper and 1 tablespoon olive oil.

    Slow roast lamb in the oven until cooked.

    While lamb is resting and just before serving, make our recipe of Kohkoz Garlic Bread you can also add some parmesan in the bread as well a Toum.

    Add salad leaves, cucumber, tomato, pitted olives of your choice to plates. Place about 1/4 cup of Kohkoz hummus (either garlic or traditional) on the plate.

    Springle 1 teaspoon of Kohkoz Za'atar, arrange lamb on plate.

    Serve with warm triangles of our recipe of Kohkoz Garlic Bread.

    Vary the amount of ingredients depending on how many you are feeding, this recipe would work well for a large group as well as just a couple of people.
